LEAGUE DETAILS:

WHEN:           EVERY SUNDAY 6:30PM

LOCATION:   4 INDEPENDENT LEAGUES - DOOLYS PORTLAND, BURNSIDE, ROCKINGHAM, & KEMPT

FORMAT:        ROUND ROBIN (Play one player each week)

GAME:            10-Ball (WPA Rules) - see exceptions below

RACES:           FARGO OR KNOWN ABILITY WILL SET YOUR HANDICAP!

NOTE: Fargo ratings are locked at the time you sign up and will not change your races for the duration of the season!  However, the League Directors reserve the right to change unfair handicaps anytime within the first 3 weeks of play if deemed necessary!  All players will race to 11 games!  So a 5 handicap will start at 6 games and only have to win 5 games as an example.

CONTACT: Percy Gouchie (Portland), Jay Hanlon (Rockingham), Tracey Goodyear (Burnside), or Darren Reid (Kempt)

COST:         $25 per week ($5 table time)

FINAL TOURNAMENT:   From each location, the top 8 in points after the round robin will advance to a 32 player Double KO Tournament.  Round one will be held at Dooly's Portland (due to # of tables available), we will then continue the following Sunday at Burnside Dooly's, then finish the tournament at Rockingham Dooly's the following Sunday (if required).  START TIME IS 10AM ALL THREE DATES!

DEPOSIT:      On the first night, players will be asked to pay $150.  $25 for their first night and $125 to cover their last 5 weeks of play.  This $125  is non-refundable so if you quit the league late in the season, that money will still go to the final prize pot.  This will stop players in the bottom of the standings from quitting the league, or at least if they do quit, it won't affect the payouts.

MISSING A WEEK:  PLAYERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED 4 MAKEUP MATCHES.  After you miss 4 weeks, you must forfeit any future matches missed!  If you miss a week, it is your responsibility to make up the match with your opponent on another Sunday night before or after your regularly scheduled match.  Players are asked to work with each other to make sure all matches get played.  Makeup matches played on Sundays will be covered by the table time already paid in your $25.

FORFEITS:  For the fairness of the league all matches should be played in full unless circumstances deem it impossible to play a match.  In a situation where a match can not be played or rescheduled for any reason the player that misses the match will have to forfeit and take a zero.  Even if the player is a lower ranked player and would normally get their spotted games at a minimum, a forfeit results in a zero regardless of handicaps.  Also, once a match is in progress, every effort must be made to finish the match.  Anyone who quits the match will accept the score as it stands and give their opponent the win (11 points).  The only exception would be an emergency and your league director should be contacted immediately to discuss.

NO SHOWS: If you don't notify your opponent or the tournament directors before your scheduled match and your opponent is left waiting, this will be deemed a no show and you will be given a score to match your handicap, your opponent scores 11 and gets the win.  Please make every effort to show up or contact the league within a reasonable time (2 hours notice minimum) so your opponent doesn't travel to Dooly's!  Please try to get confirmation your opponent knows you won't be there (don't assume they saw the text!)

TIES:  Ties in points will be broken by WINS, then differential, then head-to-head results if needed.

SECOND CHANCE:  The players finishing in positions 9th-12th in the standings from each location will advance to a single KO second chance tournament (location TBD).  This season players finishing in positions 13th-16th will also qualify for a "C-Division" single KO second chance tournament (location TBD).  See Final Tournament at the bottom of this site for more details!

10-BALL RULE EXCEPTIONS:

  • 10-Ball last ball.  The 10-ball can be legally potted but it gets spotted and the player continues shooting.

  • No Golden Breaks - 10-Ball does not count as a win on the break

  • Rack your own, Alternate Breaks (magic racks allowed)

  • Flip or Lag for break

  • Jump Shots Allowed

  • No clothing fouls unless a ball moves and an arbitrator must be called to watch the shot beforehand.

  • An illegal break (miscue or 4 balls don't hit a rail) will result in the opponent choosing to rebreak themselves or allow their opponent to rebreak.  The break order does not change going forward

CALCUTTA

Calcutta Rules (player auction)

CALCUTTA AUCTION FOR PAIRS OF PLAYERS (as seen below)

AUCTION WILL TAKE PLACE FRIDAY JANUARY 23rd at 7PM

There is a facebook chat group setup for online bids and pairs will be auctioned off in 5 minute increments.  The order of picks is below but will start with a Wild Card purchase first... the wild card purchase allows you to pick any pair from that location.  Payments will be made to the location treasurer... more details in the Facebook chat.  Contact Percy Gouchie or Jay Hanlon to be added to the chat!

Payouts to each league will go to the person who bought the pairing who scored the most combined points in the Round Robin portion of the league.  Calcutta will be paid out immediately after final scores are tallied for the round robin (Prior to the final tournament!)

Ties: will be broken by Head-to-head results first (meaning if both players in a pairing beat the other 2 players when they played their matches, they win the tie breaker).  If still tied, total match wins, and if still tied after that, by differential between combined wins and losses.  NOTE: Payments will be made directly to the bidder via cash payout.
