LEAGUE DETAILS:

WHEN:           EVERY SUNDAY 6:30PM

LOCATION:   3 INDEPENDENT LEAGUES - PORTLAND, BURNSIDE & ROCKINGHAM

FORMAT:        ROUND ROBIN (Play one player each week)

GAME:            9-Ball (WPA Rules) - see exceptions below

RACES:           FARGO OR KNOWN ABILITY WILL SET YOUR HANDICAP!

NOTE: Fargo ratings are locked at the time you sign up and will not change your races for the duration of the season!  All players will race to 13 games!  So a 5 handicap will start at 8 games and only have to win 5 games as an example.

CONTACT: Percy Gouchie (Port) Jay Hanlon (Rocking) Adam Larsen (Burnside)

COST:         $25 per week ($5 table time)

FINAL TOURNAMENT:   From each location, the top 8 in points after the round robin will advance to a 24 player Double KO Tournament held on June 14th/15th and 22nd.  Round one on June 14th will be held at Dooly's Portland, we will then continue on June 15th at Burnside Dooly's, then finish the tournament on June 22nd at Rockingham Dooly's.  START TIME IS 10AM ALL THREE DATES!

DEPOSIT:       Within the first month of the league, players will be asked to deposit $100 to hold their spot in the league.  This $100 will come off your final 4 weeks of league play (those weeks will not cost you anything).  This money is non-refundable so if you quit the league late in the season, that money will still go to the final prize pot.  This will stop players in the bottom of the standings from quitting the league, or at least if they do quit, it won't affect the payouts.

MISSING A WEEK:  PLAYERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED 3 MAKEUP MATCHES.  After you miss 3 weeks, you must forfeit any future matches missed!  If you miss a week, it is your responsibility to make up the match with your opponent on another Sunday night before or after your regularly scheduled match.  You'll be given 2 months to makeup that match ***Unless you made arrangements prior to the start of season to be away!***.  After 2 months if you haven't been able to reschedule, you will receive a zero for that match and your opponent will score a 13.  Players are asked to work with each other to make sure all matches get played.  Dooly's will still honor the $5 table time for these makeup matches.  However, the $5 table time only applies to Sundays.  If you play on another day of the week, table time is whatever rate you can get.  Players can report their makeup match scores to Percy as soon as they're played.

FORFEITS:  For the fairness of the league all matches should be played in full unless circumstances deem it impossible to play a match.  In a situation where a match can not be played or rescheduled for any reason the player that misses the match will have to forfeit and take a zero.  The opponent scores a 13.  Even if the player is a lower ranked player and would normally get their spotted games at a minimum, a forfeit results in a zero regardless of handicaps.

NO SHOWS: If you don't notify your opponent or the tournament directors before your scheduled match and your opponent is left waiting, this will be deemed a no show and you will be given a score of 4, your opponent scores 13 and gets the win.  Please make every effort to show up or contact the league within a reasonable time (1 hour notice minimum) so your opponent doesn't travel to Dooly's!

TIES:  Ties in points will be broken by WINS, then differential, then head-to-head results if needed.

SECOND CHANCE:  The players finishing in positions 9th-12th in the standings from each location will advance to a single KO second chance tournament at Dooly's Portland held on June 14th at 10am.

9-BALL RULE EXCEPTIONS:

  • Rack your own, Alternate Breaks (magic racks allowed)

  • Flip or Lag for break

  • NO 9 ON THE BREAK... 9 GETS SPOTTED - also 4 balls to a rail

  • Jump Shots Allowed

  • No clothing fouls unless a ball moves and an arbitrator must be called to watch the shot beforehand.

CALCUTTA

Calcutta Rules (player auction)

CALCUTTA AUCTION FOR PAIRS OF PLAYERS (as seen below)

Payouts to each league will go to person who bought the pairing who scored the most combined points in the Round Robin portion of the league.  Calcutta will be paid out immediately after final scores are tallied for the round robin.

Ties: will be broken by Head-to-head results first (meaning if both players in a pairing beat the other 2 players when they played their matches, they win the tie breaker).  If still tied, total match wins, and if still tied after that, by differential between combined wins and losses.  NOTE: Payments will be made directly to the bidder via cash payout.
